I will update even less often now that school has started again (I’m a fourth year student – the end is near, but the assignments are plentiful!), but I wanted to let you know what I’ve been up to these days!
I have added a new costume to my Books & Movies section, Alice Cullen from Twilight! Yes, you read right, Twilight. Get over it. :P
This costume is actually pretty old (2009), but when Blaknight asked me if I wanted to model for him in August, I took the opportunity to bring it with me! Twilight fans will have to forgive me for not wearing cool black contact lenses this time.

What else? Projects? Well, not too many this year (I am ridiculously broke and busy at the moment), but I already bought the fabric for Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), which I just can’t wait to start working on! Every female cosplayer should have at least one Disney princess in her costume collection ;) I chose Aurora because I was really moved by the movie when I was a kid, and because she’s so pretty and blond and… pink! :D Besides, my dear friend Enelia would like to cosplay as Snow White with me, and I can’t wait to see her in this costume!
This year I will also try to travel throughout my country to attend non-Parisian conventions, because I miss their friendly, non-competitive atmosphere ;)

Last week the Sucker Punch team (minus LucioleS as Madam Gorski) went to Pontoise (Paris suburbs) to shoot in an abandoned paper factory. We gained exclusive access to it thanks to our friend MilitaryJonh (who has the keys), so we were able to do this without being disturbed :)
Since I didn’t have it last time, I made Blondie’s tomahawk holster for the occasion. I looove this weapon! I was so happy to be able to use it this time.
The talented Florian Fromentin and Julien Rico agreed to be our photographers, and we spent almost all day shooting.
Of course we started really late that day, despite having agreed to meet at 11 AM! Aside from all the train problems, our Sweet Pea had to drive us from Jonh’s place to the factory, which took a bit of time. It’s a pity I don’t have a photo, but you should have seen us 5 girls in costume in her Hello Kitty car! It made for an interesting sight, and it was a lot of fun!
Anyway, here’s what you were waiting for: a preview!

We are now planning to make a video with Omaru, who couldn’t be with us that day. And more photos will follow, but in other costumes ;)

I started to work on this website 5 months ago and only found the courage to put all the old galleries back online a couple days ago! Many of the galleries aren’t open yet, but they will soon be, hopefully.
So what have I been up to these past few months? Well, after I came back from my 5-month trip to Taiwan, I decided to cosplay again. My first 2011 costume was Mana from Malice Mizer, after Flammechant suggested we did something together for old times’ sake.

Then I started to work on Blondie from Sucker Punch, something I had decided to do a long time before the movie was released. Some friends agreed to join me; you can watch our performance here.
We have a photoshoot planned for next week, I can’t wait!

For this year’s Japan Expo, Lili and I went as Ranka and Sheryl from Macross Frontier. Kind of a last minute decision! I had fallen in love with an outfit that I hadn’t seen much on the web yet, and that could reasonably be completed in 2 weeks. As for my partner, she liked Ranka’s signature outfit and wanted to see if she could pull off something “cute” (and she did ;) ). We were given the chance to perform on Japan Expo’s legendary stage, but there was a problem with our music (it would just stop after 25 seconds or so), so it turned out that we couldn’t! It was pretty embarrassing (and annoying, truthfully), but at least it made the audience laugh… Never again though, plz?
We also decided to dress as our favorite Croft heroine for a day. Here are a few preview photos from that week-end:

My next costume will be furry, and I’ve been meaning to work on it for a long time, so I’m hoping to start this summer so that I can get it ready for the winter. Stay tuned ;)
